The Story

Indications: Relief of cold symptoms, nasal congestion, rhinitis, sinusitis, and as adjuvant therapy for acute otitis media.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component, atrophic rhinitis, MAOI use in the last 14 days, pregnancy, and lactation.

Precautions: Limit use to one week, avoid exceeding recommended dose, caution in cardiovascular, hypertension, thyroid diseases, and angle-closure glaucoma.

Dosage: Clean nose before use. Children under 1 year: 1 drop per nostril 3-4 times daily; 1-6 years: 1-2 drops per nostril 3-4 times daily; Adults and children over 6: 3-4 drops per nostril 3-4 times daily. Treatment should not exceed 7 days.

Overdose: Mostly asymptomatic, may cause fatigue, stomach pain, mild tachycardia, increased blood pressure, agitation, insomnia, pallor. Treatment: activated charcoal, possibly laxatives, and increased fluid intake.

Side effects: Mild and transient local reactions (burning or dryness), very rare allergic reactions (local skin reactions, itching, swelling, weakness).

Storage: Original packaging, below 25°C, away from children.
